first Time Visitors

Worship

Join us any Sunday at 9:30 for a relaxed, spirit filled time of worship. Our services are approximately 1 hour followed by a time of fellowship.

Children

Children of all ages are welcome. We don't mind wiggles or wonders. If you need to get up and go to the nursery for a while, that is just fine. Pastor Mary Jane is known to have held kids while giving a sermon so there is little your child can do to disrupt our worship. During the school year we have Sunday School for our kids.

Our Space

Our church is handicapped accessible and with it's flexible seating, everyone can feel comfortable.

Greetings from Pastor Mary Jane,

I am so glad that you are exploring the ministry of St. John’s UCC.  It is my joy to be your pastor and I am really excited about the mission and ministry that is happening through St. John’s UCC.  We are a community of Christ that is 143 years old but always young at heart. We are engaged in creative worship, ongoing learning, relevant mission, and vibrant spiritual growth.

Come as you are, casual dress is the norm, and join us for worship.  Don't be surprised if there are people gathered right inside the door chatting.  We love to talk.  You will be greeted and we'll show you around.

Worship is at the heart of our congregational life. The preaching, music and communing together are ways we experience the presence of a still speaking God. Our communion table is open to all, no matter where one is on their journey of faith. God’s love is freely shared as we share the bread and wine (juice) with one another.  In our time of worship, we hold one another and the deep hungers of the human heart in prayer; and are filled with wonder and awe as we feel God’s love all around us.
